Beja SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Afonso de Alcântara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Marcelo Pena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Perivaldo Rosado made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Gugu do Valle sent off a good shot on target. Gugu do Valle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, Tucupare's Perivaldo Rosado got control of the ball when Cássio Rosa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Afonso de Alcântara charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Afonso de Alcântara the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 28 minutes into the match, Tucupare's Romário Lopes broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Cristiano Neiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gugu do Valle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Perivaldo Rosado having to interfere. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcelo Pena stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cássio Rosa scored 2-0 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Perivaldo Rosado, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cristiano Neiva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 64 minutes into the match, Beja SC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristiano Neiva came free, but Nelson Nascimento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Tucupare's zone, Marcelo Pena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Perivaldo Rosado came out of the goal and Marcelo Pena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Marcelo Pena's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Perivaldo Rosado was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. Marcelo Pena struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Perivaldo Rosado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Beja SC. If Gugu do Valle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 79 minutes, Marcelo Pena made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Tucupare's Perivaldo Rosado tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcelo Pena in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Perivaldo Rosado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Beja SC's Gugu do Valle got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Acácio Paraense's late challenge caught a Tucupare's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Acácio Paraense helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 92nd minute of the game. One of Beja SC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Tucupare:s goal. Nelson Nascimento went to the wrong direction when Romário Lopes was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. In the 96th minute, Beja SC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Cristiano Neiva fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post.
