Breno Hoffmann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dieguinho Moreno, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Breno Hoffmann, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 10 minutes, Serginho Britto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gremio RedBull and the Santa Rita FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Breno Hoffmann came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Santa Rita FC's Ademar Sousa. But to his dismay, Ademar Sousa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 16 minutes into the game, Luís Guilherme da Rocha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gremio RedBull's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Santa Rita FC the free kick. The supporters of Santa Rita FC booed when Gremio RedBull was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Guilherme da Rocha didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 17th minute of the match Narciso Simão shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Breno Hoffmann showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of Santa Rita FC booed when Gremio RedBull was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Guilherme da Rocha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dieguinho Moreno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 33 minutes into the match, Gremio RedBull's goal looked a bit too open when Dieguinho Moreno came free, but Breno Hoffmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ademar Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gremio RedBull's Breno Hoffmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dieguinho Moreno in the 40th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Luís Guilherme da Rocha made the kick off in the second half. Dieguinho Moreno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Breno Hoffmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dieguinho Moreno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Gremio RedBull's zone, Dieguinho Moreno stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Breno Hoffmann came out of the goal and Dieguinho Moreno tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 62nd minute, Luís Guilherme da Rocha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcinho Rodrigues struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Agostinho Teles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gremio RedBull. Tony da Rocha kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. In the 78th minute Narciso Simão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Breno Hoffmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dieguinho Moreno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Breno Hoffmann having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dieguinho Moreno in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Breno Hoffmann saved Gremio RedBull from getting behind. Luís Guilherme da Rocha kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. In the 93rdth minute of the game Dieguinho Moreno who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gremio RedBull's Breno Hoffmann was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Santa Rita FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
