Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpected shot in the 8th minute by Elano Garcia got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When Kauã Schmidt came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Barriguda fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kauã Schmidt couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kauã Schmidt in the 11th minute of play forced Marema's goalkeeper Anísio Leal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elano Garcia in the 14thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Anísio Leal, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Anísio Leal was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Kauã Schmidt showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 16 minute of play. Elano Garcia might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anísio Leal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Elano Garcia ran back to his position shaking his head. With his leg Anísio Leal managed to avoid a goal in the 21stth minute, when Barriguda's Elano Garcia fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, Marema's Adelino Ceresso got a free kick in the 23rd minute. João Quadros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Márcio Toscano, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. After 27 played minutes Barriguda got a freekick which was hit by Kauã Schmidt. Flávio Prado hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 31st minute, Tiaguinho Rodrigues sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Barriguda's João Quadros didn't even have to move. Luisinho Baptista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Quadros having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Flávio Prado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Marema booed when Barriguda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arí Sanches didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Marema's zone, Elano Garcia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anísio Leal came out of the goal and Elano Garcia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anísio Leal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kauã Schmidt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 51st minute Zé Roberto Marinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Quadros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Waldir Penha hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. After 59 minutes of play, Barriguda's Elano Garcia made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anísio Leal was left in no man's land by his defense there! Anísio Leal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kauã Schmidt in the 65th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kauã Schmidt in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anísio Leal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marema's Anísio Leal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kauã Schmidt in the 69th minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Alfredo Mendes sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Marema's Anísio Leal didn't even have to move. In the 74th minute Elano Garcia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anísio Leal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Elano Garcia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kauã Schmidt in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anísio Leal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kauã Schmidt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anísio Leal having to interfere. Elano Garcia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Kauã Schmidt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Barriguda's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
