Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Tião Trancoso got the match started through his kick off. Nelsinho de Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Vito Xavier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maurício Lopes made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Válter Botelho sent off a good shot on target. Tião Trancoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maurício Lopes having to interfere. After 14 played minutes Coruja got a freekick which was hit by Nelsinho de Queiroz. Válter Botelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vito Xavier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sílvio Luís Arantes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Válter Botelho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Maurício Lopes having to make a save. In the 23rd match minute, Coruja was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serginho Damião to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Coruja defense, Válter Botelho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Maurício Lopes. The Coruja fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Maurício Lopes should have stopped the shot. Nelsinho de Queiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ciro Rocha blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Maurício Lopes having to make a save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Sílvio Luís Arantes made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sílvio Luís Arantes in the 52nd minute of play forced Muriahe's goalkeeper Vito Xavier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Válter Botelho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Muriahe's supporters rose to their feet, but Válter Botelho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maurício Lopes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Maurício Lopes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tião Trancoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Tião Trancoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maurício Lopes having to interfere. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Coruja's goalkeeper Maurício Lopes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 71st minute, Nelsinho de Queiroz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Coruja fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. If Tião Trancoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. A collision led to Coruja getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Álvaro Campidelis hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adolfo Aguiar during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 81 minutes into the game, one of Coruja:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tião Trancoso in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Maurício Lopes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Coruja's Maurício Lopes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tião Trancoso in the 94th minute of play. Tião Trancoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Maurício Lopes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Muriahe players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
