João Paulo Lago hit a great ball. Jorginho Fernandez took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 6th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Denílson Ortiz. Iuru SC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Orlando Lucas in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jânio Messias prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 17th minute, Orlando Lucas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jânio Messias was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orlando Lucas in the 24th minute of play forced Altino's goalkeeper Jânio Messias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Iuru SC's Denílson Ortiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Perivaldo Costa in the 26th minute of play. Luís Fabiano Veiga succeeded in the game's 27th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. After a rather tough play, Iuru SC's Jarbas de Mendonça got a free kick in the 30th minute. In the 33rd match minute, Altino was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Melo to maneuver through the defense. Jarbas de Mendonça succeeded in the game's 34th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-2. After 36 played minutes Altino got a freekick which was hit by Jorginho Fernandez. In the 37th minute Orlando Lucas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jânio Messias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, Altino's goal looked a bit too open when Jarbas de Mendonça came free, but Jânio Messias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jarbas de Mendonça received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Jânio Messias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 57 minutes, Orlando Lucas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Iuru SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Orlando Lucas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Orlando Lucas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Orlando Lucas got free with Jânio Messias in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Altino's zone, Orlando Lucas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jânio Messias came out of the goal and Orlando Lucas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jânio Messias came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Iuru SC's Lucas Maranhense. But to his dismay, Lucas Maranhense quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. If Alan Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Luís Quaresma charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In a very dangerous position, a player in Altino fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 80th minute. Penalty! 88 minutes into the match, Iuru SC's goal looked a bit too open when Alan Melo came free, but Denílson Ortiz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Altino's Jânio Messias got control of the ball when Orlando Lucas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Denílson Ortiz came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Altino's Luís Fabiano Veiga. But to his dismay, Luís Fabiano Veiga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-6. The Iuru SC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
