The supporters of Pedro SC booed when Cangoritgo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mathias Valadares didn't get a good kick on the ball. Raí Nogueira was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 8th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 11 played minutes Pedro SC got a freekick which was hit by Dalmo Nascimento. When Germano Saldanha came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Cangoritgo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Germano Saldanha couldn't finish the play. If Adelino da Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Geovânio Messias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artur Pereira having to interfere. Germano Saldanha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Fabiano Catarinense having to interfere. After some careless play in the Pedro SC defense, Germano Saldanha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luiz Fabiano Catarinense. The Pedro SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luiz Fabiano Catarinense should have stopped the shot. Artur Pereira made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Geovânio Messias sent off a good shot on target. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Caetano Perez to make the kick off. Artur Pereira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dalmo Nascimento's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. When Dalmo Macedo fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pedro SC's protests and gave Dalmo Macedo a yellow card for diving instead. Adelino da Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Luiz Fabiano Catarinense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adelino da Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Mathias Valadares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 84 minutes into the match, Pedro SC's goalkeeper Luiz Fabiano Catarinense had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Germano Saldanha. The Pedro SC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Cangoritgo FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Cangoritgo FC.
