After 21 minutes of play, Berigui's Marquinhos Guedes made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elder Alagoano was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 23rd minute, Marquinhos Guedes made a precise shot to the right of Elder Alagoano. ATL Betaort's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 32nd minute Anísio Urbano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elder Alagoano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elder Alagoano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mazinho Mendonça, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Didi Mendonça recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Telmo Nóbrega sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elder Alagoano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marquinhos Guedes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Miguel Eger during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Miguel Eger hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Berigui defense, Didi Mendonça kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paulinho Cardoso. The Berigui fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paulinho Cardoso should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Didi Mendonça to make the kick off. Anísio Urbano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of ATL Betaort booed when Berigui was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mazinho Mendonça didn't get a good kick on the ball. ATL Betaort's Elder Alagoano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sérgio Vides in the 56th minute of play. Elder Alagoano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mazinho Mendonça in the 58th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marquinhos Guedes got free with Elder Alagoano in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marquinhos Guedes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Elder Alagoano came out and tried to block the shot, but Marquinhos Guedes slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 60th minute. During the 66th minute of the match Miguel Eger completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Miguel Eger a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Marquinhos Guedes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Elder Alagoano made a huge save. Elder Alagoano made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Marquinhos Guedes sent off a good shot on target. Marquinhos Guedes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elder Alagoano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. Elder Alagoano came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Berigui's Mazinho Mendonça. But to his dismay, Mazinho Mendonça quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. Sérgio Vides kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Didi Mendonça received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Paulinho Cardoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elder Alagoano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marquinhos Guedes in the 89th minute. After 95 minutes of play, Berigui's Marquinhos Guedes made it 2-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elder Alagoano was left in no man's land by his defense there!
