Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Renan Moraes started the match with the kick off. When Chicão Lago came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Ibatiba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chicão Lago couldn't finish the play. If Renan Moraes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 15 minutes into the match, Chicão Lago had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gilberto Vinhas. Bocaiuval's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Chicão Lago was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Silas Damião kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Bocaiuval's zone, Renan Moraes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilberto Vinhas came out of the goal and Renan Moraes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 25 minutes into the match, Ibatiba's Chicão Lago sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gilberto Vinhas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 27 minutes into the match, Bocaiuval's goal looked a bit too open when Renan Moraes came free, but Gilberto Vinhas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, Kauan Gaúcho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gilberto Vinhas. Bocaiuval's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kauan Gaúcho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Gilberto Vinhas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renan Moraes in the 33rd minute of play. Jonas Barral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Eduardo Barbosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carlos Eduardo Barbosa scored 1-2 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonas Barral, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Renan Moraes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Renan Moraes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Vinhas having to interfere. If Renan Moraes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ricardinho Furtado was the one to do the kick off. Gilberto Vinhas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kauan Gaúcho went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Kauan Gaúcho scored 1-4 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gilberto Vinhas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Kauan Gaúcho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ibatiba's supporters rose to their feet, but Kauan Gaúcho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilberto Vinhas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Bocaiuval's Gilberto Vinhas got control of the ball when Renan Moraes tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 70th match minute, Ibatiba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michel Donato to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maurício Arantes in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonas Barral saved Ibatiba from getting behind. Renan Moraes took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gilberto Vinhas. Gilberto Vinhas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Thomás Velloso during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Renan Moraes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gilberto Vinhas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. With his leg Gilberto Vinhas managed to avoid a goal in the 87thth minute, when Ibatiba's Renan Moraes fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Renan Moraes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Donato Moreno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Vinhas having to interfere. Bocaiuval's Gilberto Vinhas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Bocaiuval from getting a goal against them. Ibatiba played a much better game than Bocaiuval and deserved their victory. The Bocaiuval players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
