The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cauã Barreto during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The Fraga fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cícero Barral should have stopped the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luiz da Rocha to make the kick off. Fraga's Cícero Barral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Carlos Pimenta in the 55th minute of play. Cícero Barral was out of position in the 58 minute of play, and Wilton Martins capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Wilton Martins really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4.
