Renato Zonta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cacá Eger charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cacá Eger the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 28th minute, one of Amaraji:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Amaraji. In the 31st minute Renato Zonta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Fabiano Garcia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Esporte Clube MOGIANO's Renato Zonta got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Amaraji's zone, Fausto Mendonça stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Fabiano Garcia came out of the goal and Fausto Mendonça tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 36 minutes into the match, Amaraji's goalkeeper Luís Fabiano Garcia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Juarês Mineiro. Renato Zonta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Luís Fabiano Garcia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amaraji's Luís Fabiano Garcia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juarês Mineiro in the 40th minute of play. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Amaraji's goalkeeper Luís Fabiano Garcia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jorge Arruda to make the kick off. A collision led to Esporte Clube MOGIANO getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Dênis Mendes hit a great ball. Valdo Paulista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Arruda, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. In the 59th minute, Fausto Mendonça hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg Valdo Paulista managed to avoid a goal in the 61stth minute, when Amaraji's Luís Eduardo Guimarães fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Renato Zonta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Luís Fabiano Garcia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Juarês Mineiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Romeu Loureiro's late challenge caught a Esporte Clube MOGIANO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Romeu Loureiro helped the player get up and apologised. Romeu Loureiro kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Luís Eduardo Guimarães's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 81stth minute, Valdo Paulista skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Esporte Clube MOGIANO's Fausto Mendonça got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wiliam de Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Despite being the better team, Esporte Clube MOGIANO failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
