The audience thought a goal was coming when Fred Moura got free with Sebastião Vinhas in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Iraty Sport Club getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Adriano Oliveira hit a great ball. Luizão Dias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abel Falcão, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Luizão Dias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Richard Maia in the 21st minute of play. Lino Eger's late challenge caught a Taiama SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lino Eger helped the player get up and apologised. Lino Eger hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. When José Paulo Nunes fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Iraty Sport Club's protests and gave José Paulo Nunes a yellow card for diving instead. In the 36th minute, Iraty Sport Club's Durvalino dos Santos dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. 44 minutes into the game, Iraty Sport Club's Durvalino dos Santos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sebastião Vinhas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Délio Campidelis to strike the kick off in the second half. Teodoro Sá fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastião Vinhas having to interfere. After some careless play in the Taiama SC defense, Durvalino dos Santos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sebastião Vinhas. The Taiama SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sebastião Vinhas should have stopped the shot. Délio Campidelis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Luizão Dias made a huge save. 58 minutes into the match, Iraty Sport Club's goal looked a bit too open when Vivaldo Bittencourt came free, but Luizão Dias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Délio Campidelis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luizão Dias made an important save on a dangerous shot by Délio Campidelis in the 72nd minute. Délio Campidelis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Délio Campidelis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luizão Dias having to interfere. When the match clock showed 83 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Durvalino dos Santos sped through Taiama SC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sebastião Vinhas. 86 minutes into the match, Taiama SC's goal looked a bit too open when Giovanni da Fonseca came free, but Sebastião Vinhas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fred Moura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastião Vinhas having to interfere. Giovanni da Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
