The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Fabrício Gonçalves didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ricardinho Leal went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Ricardinho Leal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Fabrício Gonçalves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. José Vítor Maciel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 9 minutes into the match, Julia's goal looked a bit too open when Norberto Nascimento came free, but Cláudio Neto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nildo Sá recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Sebastião Paes kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Fabrício Gonçalves. That made the score 2-0 in the 13 minute of play. Robinho Moura kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Pirapiringa's defense didn't have a chance, in the 20th minute, when Ricardinho Leal scored to the left of an out of position Fabrício Gonçalves, making the score, 3-0. Fabrício Gonçalves stood somewhat misplaced when Ricardinho Leal came free in front of goal and shot 4-0 to the left of him in the 24 minute. Ricardinho Leal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Fabrício Gonçalves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wiliam Vinhas during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Válbson Freitas took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 37th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fabrício Gonçalves. Pirapiringa's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ricardinho Leal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fabrício Gonçalves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Ricardinho Leal who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 43rdth minute tested the skills of Fabrício Gonçalves when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ricardinho Leal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fabrício Gonçalves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. When Nildo Sá came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Julia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nildo Sá couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Vítor Maciel in the 47th minute of play forced Julia's goalkeeper Cláudio Neto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when José Vítor Maciel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Mathias Bueno cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Fabrício Gonçalves was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fabrício Gonçalves stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ricardinho Leal's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Julia's Cláudio Neto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgard Pinheiro in the 60th minute of play. Fabrício Gonçalves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nildo Sá in the 63rd minute of play. With 63 minutes on the clock, Robinho Moura commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 63 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Pirapiringa! In the 65th minute there was a penalty for Julia. David Gonçalves stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Fabrício Gonçalves. 6-0. Cláudio Neto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Norberto Nascimento in the 69th minute. In the 70th minute, Elói Leite hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nildo Sá in the 77th minute of play forced Pirapiringa's goalkeeper Fabrício Gonçalves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Julia's Nildo Sá got a free kick in the 80th minute. Pirapiringa's Fabrício Gonçalves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardinho Leal in the 84th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ricardinho Leal in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabrício Gonçalves saved Pirapiringa from getting behind. In the 90th minute, Clóvis Ferraz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 93rd match minute, Julia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elói Leite to maneuver through the defense. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Julia fully deserved thier win.
