Narciso Leão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flavinho de Azevedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Flavinho de Azevedo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Narciso Leão read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. SPORT CLUB INTERNACIONAL's Narciso Leão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flavinho de Azevedo in the 41st minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Palmiulds City's Enéas Romero broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cauan Braga was the one to do the kick off. Arthur Ribeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an all-out effort, Palmiulds City's Narciso Leão threw himself towards the right post 57 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cauan Braga, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.
