Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Alex Xavier took the kick off in the first half of the match. With a little luck, Macios's Percival Arósio got control of the ball when Gláuber Carvalho tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Catuicara fans' excitement grew in the 5th match minute when Catuicara's Jairo Zanette looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 14th minute, Gláuber Carvalho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gláuber Carvalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Percival Arósio having to interfere. If Jairo Zanette had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Catuicara's Gláuber Carvalho got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Duarte Albuquerque showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Xavier, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. 28 minutes into the game, Enrique Montenegro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Macios's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Catuicara the free kick. Percival Arósio made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Gláuber Carvalho sent off a good shot on target. Duarte Albuquerque made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Xavier in the 38th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jairo Zanette to strike the kick off in the second half. When Jairo Zanette came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Catuicara fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jairo Zanette couldn't finish the play. Macios's Robinho Lopez got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Macios's zone, Jairo Zanette stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Percival Arósio came out of the goal and Jairo Zanette tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Percival Arósio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jairo Zanette in the 65th minute of play. Dito Dante hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. The supporters of Macios booed when Catuicara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Umberto Brodel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Enrique Montenegro missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 74 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Duarte Albuquerque right hand side. Robinho Lopez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duarte Albuquerque having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Catuicara players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
