The supporters of Palmiulds City booed when Catuicara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aírton Gaspar didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Flavinho de Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gilmar Nascimento hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Catuicara's Tostão Mineiro couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 24th minute. The supporters of Catuicara booed when Palmiulds City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilmar Nascimento didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 31st minute, Patrício Xavier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carlos Eduardo Campidelis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gláuber Carvalho in the 36th minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Catuicara's Jairo Zanette sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carlos Eduardo Campidelis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Gláuber Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Flavinho de Azevedo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Duarte Albuquerque read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Cauan Braga made the kick off in the second half. Jairo Zanette struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Carlos Eduardo Campidelis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Catuicara. Duarte Albuquerque didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Flavinho de Azevedo went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Flavinho de Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Duarte Albuquerque took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flavinho de Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cauan Braga in the 83rd minute of play forced Catuicara's goalkeeper Duarte Albuquerque to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Danilo Velloso kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Duarte Albuquerque showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flavinho de Azevedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute.
