With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alex Xavier in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlos Eduardo Campidelis saved Palmiulds City from getting behind. Robinho Lopez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 21 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Macios! Carlos Eduardo Campidelis was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Sandro Pena. Robinho Lopez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 32 minutes into the game, Gilmar Nascimento was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Palmiulds City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Macios the free kick. After 33 played minutes Palmiulds City got a freekick which was hit by Gilmar Nascimento. Palmiulds City's Carlos Eduardo Campidelis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Palmiulds City from getting a goal against them. If Alex Xavier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Túlio Gaúcho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Flavinho de Azevedo came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Palmiulds City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Flavinho de Azevedo couldn't finish the play. After the first half Palmiulds City were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Robinho Lopez made a kick off. Macios's Percival Arósio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Macios from getting a goal against them. Cauan Braga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Percival Arósio having to interfere. Cauan Braga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Percival Arósio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 67th minute, Robinho Lopez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Carlos Eduardo Campidelis was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Cauan Braga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Percival Arósio having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Macios's zone, Cauan Braga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Percival Arósio came out of the goal and Cauan Braga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 79th minute, Palmiulds City's Cauan Braga ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Percival Arósio. Percival Arósio yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Percival Arósio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cauan Braga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Robinho Lopez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 89 played minutes, Macios's Raúl Moura shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Carlos Eduardo Campidelis came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Macios reached it. 1-3 became the score in the 93rd minute when Cauan Braga elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Although Macios had been in control for most of the match, Palmiulds City still came away with the win.
