Acácio da Mata took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iuri Cardozo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as morcego's Manolo Valadares slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cássio de Mendonça. That made the score 1-0 after 11 minutes of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Thomás Koehler during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 22 minutes into the game, one of morcego:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 26th minute Iuri Cardozo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Acácio da Mata saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Acácio da Mata showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jairo Palmeira in the 28th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Iuri Cardozo in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Acácio da Mata saved morcego from getting behind. 33 minutes into the game, Cristóvão Sá cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Acácio da Mata was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Central FC's Luiz Guilherme Gaúcho got a free kick in the 38th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anderson Carneiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cristóvão Sá took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Acácio da Mata. Acácio da Mata dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. With a little luck, morcego's Acácio da Mata got control of the ball when Iuri Cardozo tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manolo Valadares in the 83rd minute of play forced Central FC's goalkeeper Cássio de Mendonça to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The throw-in from Adalberto Tasso in the 85th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by morcego's Rubens Couto. With a little luck, morcego's Acácio da Mata got control of the ball when Iuri Cardozo tried to sneak it across the goal line. 94 minutes into the match, Central FC's goal looked a bit too open when Anderson Carneiro came free, but Cássio de Mendonça reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Central FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
