Edmundo dos Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giovani Faria having to interfere. When Denílson Bezerra came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Imbau EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Denílson Bezerra couldn't finish the play. Edmundo dos Santos struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Giovani Faria didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Imbau EC. Denílson Bezerra scored 0-1 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Giovani Faria, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Imbau EC defense, Edmílson do Vale kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Válter Varela. The Imbau EC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Viracaozinha from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
