Tiaguinho Prestes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Tinoco having to interfere. Tiaguinho Prestes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alfredo Tinoco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiaguinho Prestes, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Tiaguinho Prestes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Tinoco having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kléber Melo in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sílvio Luiz Mesquita saved Paranvai from getting behind. If Kléber Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 28 minutes into the match, Vivaldo Monteiro notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Paranvai's Sílvio Luiz Mesquita. Sílvio Luiz Mesquita was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 31 played minutes Paranvai got a freekick which was hit by William Lago. Kléber Melo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kléber Melo struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Sílvio Luiz Mesquita didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ciniaco. The supporters of Ciniaco booed when Paranvai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tião Pombal didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vivaldo Monteiro in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sílvio Luiz Mesquita saved Paranvai from getting behind. Mané Veiga kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Kléber Melo struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Sílvio Luiz Mesquita didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ciniaco. After a defensive mix-up in Paranvai's zone, Vivaldo Monteiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sílvio Luiz Mesquita came out of the goal and Vivaldo Monteiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tiaguinho Prestes to strike the kick off in the second half. Sílvio Luiz Mesquita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vivaldo Monteiro in the 52nd minute of the match. Basílio Chaves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Alfredo Tinoco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 55 played minutes Ciniaco got a freekick which was hit by Bebeto Moura. If Tiaguinho Prestes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ediberto Rossi lost his temper 60 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 59 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ciniaco! In the 66th match minute, Ciniaco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vivaldo Monteiro to maneuver through the defense. Paranvai's Tião Pombal couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 67th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Ciniaco. Kléber Melos short, quick shot in the 69thth minute got Sílvio Luiz Mesquita to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Kléber Melo did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-2 to the left of a surprised Sílvio Luiz Mesquita 69 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiaguinho Prestes in the 76th minute of play forced Ciniaco's goalkeeper Alfredo Tinoco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kléber Melo struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Sílvio Luiz Mesquita didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ciniaco. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kléber Melo got free with Sílvio Luiz Mesquita in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 87th minute, Tiaguinho Prestes made a precise shot to the right of Alfredo Tinoco. Ciniaco's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Alfredo Tinoco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basílio Chaves in the 92nd minute of play. Kléber Melo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Paranvai supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Ciniaco's performance. The match ended with a win for Ciniaco.
