Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Márton Kálmán started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 2nd minute, Murillo de Queirós hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Washington Catarinense's late challenge caught a Saids FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Washington Catarinense helped the player get up and apologised. After 9 played minutes Nióbio EC got a freekick which was hit by Washington Catarinense. After a defensive mix-up in Nióbio EC's zone, Elivélton Macedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ünsal Alyakut came out of the goal and Elivélton Macedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nióbio EC's Cristiano Almeida got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The nice shot from Márton Kálmán in the 19thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Jairo Prestes had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Ünsal Alyakut took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osmar Ferreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Saids FC's Jairo Prestes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Didi Zonta in the 24th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Nióbio EC's goal looked a bit too open when Elivélton Macedo came free, but Ünsal Alyakut reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fabrício Maia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ünsal Alyakut having to interfere. Ünsal Alyakut took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osmar Ferreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 37 minutes into the match, Osmar Ferreira notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Nióbio EC's Ünsal Alyakut. Ünsal Alyakut was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 42nd minute, Fabrício Maia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osmar Ferreira in the 44th minute of play forced Nióbio EC's goalkeeper Ünsal Alyakut to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Márton Kálmán struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Jairo Prestes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nióbio EC. Márton Kálmán's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jairo Prestes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Nióbio EC's Cafu de Castro got a free kick in the 59th minute. Nióbio EC's Ünsal Alyakut played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elivélton Macedo in the 60th minute of play. Jairo Prestes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Márton Kálmán in the 62nd minute of play. Didi Zonta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jairo Prestes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Márton Kálmán, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Nióbio EC fans' excitement grew in the 67th match minute when Nióbio EC's Márton Kálmán looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, Saids FC's Baltazar Cosme got a free kick in the 71st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Didi Zonta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nióbio EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Didi Zonta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jairo Prestes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Márton Kálmán in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jairo Prestes saved Saids FC from getting behind. After having played for 75 minutes, Didi Zonta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nióbio EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Didi Zonta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 77 minutes into the match, Márton Kálmán had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jairo Prestes. Saids FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Márton Kálmán was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. In the 86th minute Márton Kálmán shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jairo Prestes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 96th minute, Márton Kálmán ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jairo Prestes was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. For all the effort they put into the match, the Saids FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Nióbio EC.
