One of Tomarutema:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Caloji SS:s goal. After a defensive mix-up in Caloji SS's zone, Benjamim França stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cícero Martins came out of the goal and Benjamim França tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Teodoro Fontes in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cícero Martins prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Benjamim França stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 90 minutes into the match, Caloji SS's Vinícius de Andrade sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dráuzio Brodel narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
