An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodrigo Cabral in the 38th minute of play forced Tomarutema's goalkeeper Dráuzio Brodel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 47 minutes into the match, Tomarutema's goalkeeper Dráuzio Brodel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Otávio Quaresma. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Benjamim França made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Otávio Quaresma left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Manguairinha SS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. After a rather tough play, Tomarutema's Manoel Faria got a free kick in the 55th minute. In the 57th minute Rodrigo Cabral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dráuzio Brodel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manguairinha SS's Rodrigo Cabral got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tomarutema's Dráuzio Brodel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Otávio Quaresma in the 64th minute of play. When Rodrigo Cabral came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Manguairinha SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodrigo Cabral couldn't finish the play. Dráuzio Brodel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. 94 minutes into the match, Tomarutema's goal looked a bit too open when Otávio Quaresma came free, but Dráuzio Brodel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Teodoro Fontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
