Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Hugo Proença took the kick off in the first half of the match. A collision led to Maresias SS getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Cipriano Medeiros hit a great ball. Vitório Santana, 4 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 12th match minute, Martirio FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilson Cunha to maneuver through the defense. Denílson Motta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Diogo Araújo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 19 minutes into the match, Maresias SS's goal looked a bit too open when Oscar Branco came free, but Diogo Araújo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hugo Proença sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Paulo Toscano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juarês de Queiroz made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Paulo Toscano sent off a good shot on target. In the 36th minute, Maresias SS's Hugo Proença dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Adalmo Quadros struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Juarês de Queiroz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maresias SS. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Maresias SS's goalkeeper Diogo Araújo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Denílson Motta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Denílson Motta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Diogo Araújo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Denílson Motta to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Maresias SS's Cipriano Medeiros got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Martirio FC's Vitório Santana shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 54th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Diogo Araújo but with some difficulty. After having played for 57 minutes, Denílson Motta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Martirio FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Denílson Motta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Maresias SS's Adalmo Quadros got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Enio Santos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Diogo Araújo having to make a save. The supporters of Martirio FC booed when Maresias SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adalmo Quadros didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Silas Ramos fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Martirio FC's protests and gave Silas Ramos a yellow card for diving instead. Martirio FC:s Juarês de Queiroz showed great skill when he stopped Wilton Paiva:s penalty. If Oscar Branco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Diogo Araújo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denílson Motta in the 82nd minute of play. Paulo Toscano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
