Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) After some careless play in the Kroeff FC defense, David Nunes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rubinho de Castro. The Kroeff FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rubinho de Castro should have stopped the shot. Edu Brodel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Olívio Motta went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Carlos Eduardo Romero hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Rubinho de Castro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mané Maranhense in the 14th minute of play. Edu Brodel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olívio Motta, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. 31 minutes into the match, David Nunes notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Kroeff FC's Rubinho de Castro. Rubinho de Castro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rubinho de Castro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mané Maranhense in the 34th minute of the match. Rubinho de Castro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mané Maranhense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Kroeff FC's goalkeeper Rubinho de Castro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If David Nunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 46 minutes into the match, Kroeff FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mané Maranhense came free, but Rubinho de Castro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mané Maranhense made a kick off. Olívio Motta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Edu Brodel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Christian Velloso hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mané Maranhense in the 57th minute of play forced Kroeff FC's goalkeeper Rubinho de Castro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Enéas Carneiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edu Brodel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. David Nunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rubinho de Castro having to interfere. Olívio Motta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Edu Brodel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. David Nunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rubinho de Castro having to interfere. When Mané Maranhense came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Maracanu EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mané Maranhense couldn't finish the play. 80 minutes into the game, Elói Prata was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kroeff FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maracanu EC the free kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Enéas Carneiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kroeff FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Enéas Carneiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edu Brodel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 85 minutes into the game, Maracanu EC's Mané Maranhense nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rubinho de Castro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Maracanu EC's Edu Brodel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olívio Motta in the 89th minute of play. Rubinho de Castro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mané Maranhense, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. After 95 played minutes Kroeff FC got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Eduardo Romero.
