Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ciro Pernambucano started the match with the kick off. Heróis Futebol Clube's Luís Paulo Pinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Augusto Macedo in the 5th minute of play. Luís Paulo Pinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Augusto Macedo in the 6th minute of the match. 7 minutes into the game, Gilvan Fernandez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Heróis Futebol Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Patis the free kick. In the 7th minute, Gilvan Fernandez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clóvis Netto in the 10th minute of play forced Heróis Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Luís Paulo Pinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luís Paulo Pinho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edvaldo Pombal went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edvaldo Pombal in the 18th minute of play forced Heróis Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Luís Paulo Pinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute Edvaldo Pombal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Paulo Pinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 30 minutes of play, Heróis Futebol Clube's Anselmo Cardozo made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Renato Motta was left in no man's land by his defense there! Oséias Tróia's late challenge caught a Heróis Futebol Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oséias Tróia helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Heróis Futebol Clube booed when Patis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oséias Tróia didn't get a good kick on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 54th minute Naldo Coutinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Paulo Pinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ciro Pernambucano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Renato Motta having to interfere. If Anselmo Cardozo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Heróis Futebol Clube's Luís Paulo Pinho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Heróis Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. Renato Motta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelo Moreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 73rd minute, Heróis Futebol Clube's Alfredo Cardozo seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Alfredo Cardozo the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Heróis Futebol Clube protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Alfredo Cardozo had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The goalkeeper, Luís Paulo Pinho, was totally fooled by Patis's Zé Paulo de Sena, who 75 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Luís Paulo Pinho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Clóvis Netto in the 78th minute. Luís Paulo Pinho was a little too slow when Naldo Coutinho got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 80th minute. The score was now 1-3. Luís Paulo Pinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Augusto Macedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. When Roger Tande fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Patis's protests and gave Roger Tande a yellow card for diving instead. In the 84th match minute, Patis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roger Tande to maneuver through the defense. Heróis Futebol Clube's Luís Paulo Pinho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Heróis Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. Edvaldo Pombal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Luís Paulo Pinho made a huge save. The Patis players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
