The supporters of Ryleon FC booed when Itatiba SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Azevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 28 minutes, Dorival da Silveira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itatiba SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dorival da Silveira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Dorival da Silveira kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mauro Botelho. That made the score 1-0 in the 30 minute of play. A collision led to Itatiba SC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Oscar Britto hit a great ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell José Carioca to make the kick off. Hugo Azevedo's late challenge caught a Ryleon FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hugo Azevedo helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Itatiba SC's Hugo Azevedo got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Juan Brodel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Carioca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sílvio Luiz Guimarães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Brodel having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Itatiba SC's zone, Sílvio Luiz Guimarães stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juan Brodel came out of the goal and Sílvio Luiz Guimarães tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 77 minutes into the match, Itatiba SC's goalkeeper Juan Brodel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sílvio Luiz Guimarães. If Fábio Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 81 minutes into the match, Dorival da Silveira notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Ryleon FC's Mauro Botelho. Mauro Botelho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dorival da Silveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauro Botelho having to interfere. Mauro Botelho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dorival da Silveira's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. Ryleon FC's Mauro Botelho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorival da Silveira in the 88th minute of play. If Fábio Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sílvio Luiz Guimarães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute, José Carioca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Itatiba SC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
