Andrézinho Viana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauro Botelho having to interfere. Jaime Porto made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Sílvio Luiz Guimarães sent off a good shot on target. In the 11thth minute of the game José Augusto Tinoco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ryleon FC's Mauro Botelho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alfredão Valle hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. 14 minutes into the match, Andrézinho Viana had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mauro Botelho. Ryleon FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Andrézinho Viana was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 18 minutes into the match, Sílvio Luiz Guimarães had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jaime Porto. Lanca EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sílvio Luiz Guimarães was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Mauro Botelho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrézinho Viana in the 25th minute of play. 27 minutes into the game, Emílio Sousa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ryleon FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lanca EC the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrézinho Viana in the 28th minute of play forced Ryleon FC's goalkeeper Mauro Botelho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José Augusto Tinoco struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Mauro Botelho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lanca EC. If Andrézinho Viana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mauro Botelho came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Lanca EC's José Augusto Tinoco. But to his dismay, José Augusto Tinoco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Andrézinho Viana stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When José Augusto Tinoco came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Lanca EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Augusto Tinoco couldn't finish the play. After recieving a nice pass, Ryleon FC's Donato Amorim tried to score from far away in the 56th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Jaime Porto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Carioca in the 58th minute of the match. In the 59th minute José Carioca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaime Porto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 61st play minute José Augusto Tinoco came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Mauro Botelho. 1-3. When Sílvio Luiz Guimarães came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Ryleon FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sílvio Luiz Guimarães couldn't finish the play. After having played for 67 minutes, José Augusto Tinoco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lanca EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Augusto Tinoco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 69th minute, Andrézinho Viana got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. José Augusto Tinoco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Ryleon FC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Ramiro Almeida hit a great ball. In the 76th minute, Andrézinho Viana ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mauro Botelho was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. 79 minutes into the match, Lanca EC's goal looked a bit too open when José Carioca came free, but Jaime Porto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. José Augusto Tinocos short, quick shot in the 81stth minute got Mauro Botelho to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Mauro Botelho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrézinho Viana in the 83rd minute of play. After having played for 89 minutes, Andrézinho Viana managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lanca EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andrézinho Viana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mauro Botelho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andrézinho Viana's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. Lanca EC played a much better game than Ryleon FC and deserved their victory. The Ryleon FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
