Válbson Pirani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guilherme Baiano in the 13th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the game, Anísio Botelho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Velocidade FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave fcbarcelona the free kick. In the 14th match minute, Velocidade FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anísio Botelho to maneuver through the defense. 15 minutes into the match, Velocidade FC's goalkeeper Válbson Pirani had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Guilherme Baiano. After 16 played minutes Velocidade FC got a freekick which was hit by Anísio Botelho. Guilherme Baiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Renan Coutinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Válbson Pirani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guilherme Baiano's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 23rdth minute, Válbson Pirani skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Guilherme Baiano struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Válbson Pirani didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for fcbarcelona. Adrianinho Batista blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Válbson Pirani having to make a save. After 29 minutes of play, fcbarcelona's Guilherme Baiano made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Válbson Pirani was left in no man's land by his defense there! Anísio Botelho kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Guilherme Baiano in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Válbson Pirani saved Velocidade FC from getting behind. After 38 minutes Velocidade FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Egídio Mattos who took care of the corner kick. Egídio Mattos made a great header on fcbarcelona's corner, it was just that Velocidade FC's Válbson Pirani managed to reach the ball for a save. Guilherme Baiano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Válbson Pirani having to make a save. If Guilherme Baiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Percival Vargas made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 54 minutes, Guilherme Baiano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. fcbarcelona's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guilherme Baiano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 56 played minutes fcbarcelona got a freekick which was hit by Egídio Mattos. Cléberson Donato took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anísio Botelho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 63 minutes into the match, fcbarcelona's Guilherme Baiano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Válbson Pirani narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 64th minute of the match fcbarcelona got a corner. Velocidade FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Egídio Mattos ran over to the corner to take the kick. Válbson Pirani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Conrado Faria, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. 74 minutes into the match, Anísio Botelho dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cléberson Donato, 2-1. When Eusébio Alvarenga came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the fcbarcelona fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eusébio Alvarenga couldn't finish the play. Renan Coutinho struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Válbson Pirani didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for fcbarcelona. Válbson Pirani came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by fcbarcelona's Guilherme Baiano. But to his dismay, Guilherme Baiano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. fcbarcelona walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
