Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. João Francisco de Amaral started the match with the kick off. Samuca Gaúcho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elói dos Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 11th minute Elói dos Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuca Gaúcho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Samuca Gaúcho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Francisco de Amaral in the 19th minute of play. Gugu Linares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Elói dos Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuca Gaúcho having to interfere. If Elói dos Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elói dos Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Elói dos Santos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Samuca Gaúcho was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. Gaúcho F.C.'s Samuca Gaúcho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Francisco de Amaral in the 36th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Casinha's goalkeeper Nilson Saldanha had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gugu Linares. If João Francisco de Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elói dos Santos in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Samuca Gaúcho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. César de Azevedo struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Nilson Saldanha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gaúcho F.C..

Nilson Saldanha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Júlio Rosa in the 66th minute of the match. A collision led to Casinha getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Lúcio Britto hit a great ball. If João Francisco de Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 80 minutes into the match, Gaúcho F.C.'s goalkeeper Samuca Gaúcho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Miguel Fonseca. João Francisco de Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Gaúcho F.C.'s zone, Elói dos Santos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Samuca Gaúcho came out of the goal and Elói dos Santos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. João Francisco de Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuca Gaúcho having to interfere. The Gaúcho F.C. supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Casinha's performance. The match ended with a win for Casinha.
