The audience thought a goal was coming when Nilmar Maia got free with Jonas Cearense in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If César Dionísio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ademir Simões showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from César Dionísio in the 25th minute of the match. Antônio Carlos Brasil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 39th minute, César Dionísio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ademir Simões was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Hélder França received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Ademir Simões tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 46th minute, José Pedro Tróia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 48th minute Antônio Carlos Brasil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ademir Simões saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Murilo Meirelles to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Caio Marquez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pacoca's supporters rose to their feet, but Caio Marquez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ademir Simões breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jonas Cearense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgílio Vasconcelos, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. 58 minutes into the game, Itapixe's Murilo Meirelles nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonas Cearense made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. After having played for 61 minutes, Caio Marquez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pacoca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Caio Marquez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Pacoca booed when Itapixe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jean Marquez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Antônio Carlos Brasil's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 65thth minute, Ademir Simões skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The Pacoca fans' excitement grew in the 68th match minute when Pacoca's Caio Marquez looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 72nd minute, Hélder França got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Reginaldo Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zé Carlos Tepedino struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Ademir Simões didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pacoca. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Caio Marquez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pacoca's supporters rose to their feet, but Caio Marquez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ademir Simões breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Antônio Carlos Brasil recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Itapixe fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Pacoca were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
