Betão de Souza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dário Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Dário Azevedo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Betão de Souza. That made the score 1-0 in the 15 minute of play. Dário Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Betão de Souza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dário Azevedo in the 32nd minute of play forced Ipuyuna's goalkeeper Betão de Souza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vágner dos Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. With splendid footwork Vágner dos Santos arrived in front of goal to shoot 1-1 by the left pole in the game's 64th minute. 68 minutes into the game, Abelardo Gaspar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ipuyuna's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pen Drive 32GB FC the free kick. Abelardo Gaspar kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Fernandão Sabóia who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 74thth minute tested the skills of Sebastião Toscano when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Vágner dos Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 77th minute, Dida Motta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 79 minutes, Severino Gaúcho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pen Drive 32GB FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Severino Gaúcho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Vágner dos Santos came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Ipuyuna fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vágner dos Santos couldn't finish the play. 93 minutes into the match, Ipuyuna's goal looked a bit too open when Dário Azevedo came free, but Betão de Souza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
