After 10 minutes, Cláudio França mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Redempcao EC and the Pistoleiro F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Redempcao EC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Cláudio França hit a great ball. The supporters of Redempcao EC booed when Pistoleiro F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelo Damião didn't get a good kick on the ball. Duda Bertassi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Theo Cabrera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 17 minutes into the match, Cláudio França notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Pistoleiro F.C.'s Henrique Pedroso. Henrique Pedroso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Eliézer Dracena charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eliézer Dracena the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Eliézer Dracena hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Redempcao EC's Cláudio França got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cláudio França in the 47th minute of play forced Pistoleiro F.C.'s goalkeeper Henrique Pedroso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Theo Cabrera stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Henrique Pedroso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cláudio França in the 51st minute. Henrique Pedroso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cláudio França in the 90th minute. When Cristiano Mello came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Redempcao EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristiano Mello couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cláudio França got free with Henrique Pedroso in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 95th minute of the game. One of Redempcao EC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Pistoleiro F.C.:s goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Redempcao EC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
