Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Fabiano Dias started the match with the kick off. If Fabiano Dias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabiano Dias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Jânio Pernambucano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 18 minutes of play, Gurgel SC's Fabiano Dias made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jânio Pernambucano was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Fausto Secco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabiano Dias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 27th minute Kiko Aguiar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adelino Aguiar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Marinho's goalkeeper Jânio Pernambucano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lúcio Leal during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 30th match minute, Marinho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lúcio Leal to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Gurgel SC's Adelino Aguiar got control of the ball when Celso Medeiros tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the Marinho defense, Fabiano Dias kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jânio Pernambucano. The Marinho fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jânio Pernambucano should have stopped the shot. After 45 minutes of play, Marinho's Celso Medeiros made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Adelino Aguiar was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The wind increased when Kiko Aguiar made the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes Gurgel SC got a freekick which was hit by Fabiano Dias. Fausto Secco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Jânio Pernambucano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kiko Aguiar might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adelino Aguiar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kiko Aguiar ran back to his position shaking his head. The crowd rose to their feet as Gurgel SC's Fabiano Dias slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jânio Pernambucano. That made the score 1-3 after 67 minutes of play. If Fausto Secco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fausto Secco had several of the Marinho's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 74 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-4 score and a disappointed Jânio Pernambucano as he didn't even see the shot coming. Fausto Secco who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 77thth minute tested the skills of Jânio Pernambucano when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 78th minute, Olívio Lara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fabiano Dias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Jânio Pernambucano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fausto Secco's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jânio Pernambucano firmly grabbed it by the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fabiano Dias in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jânio Pernambucano saved Marinho from getting behind. In the 96th minute, Natã de Barros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gurgel SC played a much better game than Marinho and deserved their victory. The Marinho players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
