An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeca Paes in the 14th minute of play forced Marinho's goalkeeper Jânio Pernambucano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jânio Pernambucano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Theo Cabrera, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Válbson Fonseca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kiko Aguiar in the 41st minute of play forced Pistoleiro F.C.'s goalkeeper Henrique Pedroso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Marinho's Jonas Madureira got a free kick in the 44th minute. 46 minutes into the match, Kiko Aguiar dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Henrique Pedroso, 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

After a defensive mix-up in Pistoleiro F.C.'s zone, Kiko Aguiar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Henrique Pedroso came out of the goal and Kiko Aguiar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Celso Medeiros came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Marinho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celso Medeiros couldn't finish the play. Válbson Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jânio Pernambucano having to interfere. If Válbson Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
