Valdo Barbosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adelino da Silva took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jefferson Peixoto. Jefferson Peixoto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. A collision led to Ipoema getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Severino Cunha hit a great ball. Egídio Jacinto took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 14th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jefferson Peixoto. Ipoema's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Adelino da Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elder Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Durval Rossi having to interfere. Adelino da Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Jefferson Peixoto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adelino da Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jefferson Peixoto having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Ipoema's Severino Cunha got a free kick in the 39th minute. Ipoema's Jefferson Peixoto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adelino da Silva in the 42nd minute of play. Jefferson Peixoto came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Gramadinho SC's Adelino da Silva. But to his dismay, Adelino da Silva quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The Ipoema players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Gramadinho SC were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adelino da Silva stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gramadinho SC's Durval Rossi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elder Nascimento in the 52nd minute of play. Denílson do Vale hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Jefferson Peixoto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adelino da Silva's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. Valdo Barbosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Jefferson Peixoto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valdo Barbosa got free with Jefferson Peixoto in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jefferson Peixoto was a little too slow when Adelino da Silva got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 70th minute. The score was now 0-3. The supporters of Gramadinho SC booed when Ipoema was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severino Cunha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adelino da Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an all-out effort, Gramadinho SC's Jefferson Peixoto threw himself towards the right post 84 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Adelino da Silva, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Valdo Barbosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gramadinho SC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
