Dorian Garcia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Natanael Breckenfeld sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlos Alberto Tavares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Christiano Guedes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adalberto Linares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emílio Custódio having to interfere. Natanael Breckenfeld fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emílio Custódio having to interfere. A collision led to GRAVATAI RS getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Robinho Cunha hit a great ball. In the game's 39th minute Gramacno SC's Benjamin Salgado took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Emílio Custódio and thus the score was 0-2. The crowd rose to their feet as Robinho Cunha kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Christiano Guedes. That made the score 1-2 in the 44 minute of play. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adalberto Linares to make the kick off. Adalberto Linares's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emílio Custódio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. Natanael Breckenfeld fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emílio Custódio having to interfere. Robinho Cunha charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Robinho Cunha the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After recieving a nice pass, Gramacno SC's Benjamin Salgado tried to score from far away in the 66th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adalberto Linares in the 68th minute of play forced GRAVATAI RS's goalkeeper Emílio Custódio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ramón Silveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emílio Custódio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adalberto Linares, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Gramacno SC's zone, Flavinho Ramalho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christiano Guedes came out of the goal and Flavinho Ramalho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Alberto Tavares in the 84th minute of play forced Gramacno SC's goalkeeper Christiano Guedes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 93rd match minute, Gramacno SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zé Leite to maneuver through the defense. Gramacno SC's Christiano Guedes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Alberto Tavares in the 95th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Gramacno SC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
