Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Emerson Arce got the match started through his kick off. Perivaldo Velasco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Carlos Fernando Reis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emerson Arce in the 8th minute of the match. When Emerson Arce came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Fernao FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emerson Arce couldn't finish the play. In the 20th minute Perivaldo Velasco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Glauco Maia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Matías Matos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emerson Arce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Fernando Reis having to interfere. Carlos Fernando Reis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juarês da Mata in the 29th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Fernao FC's Aluísio Vander got a free kick in the 31st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emerson Arce in the 41st minute of play forced Bata FC's goalkeeper Carlos Fernando Reis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Glauco Maia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Perivaldo Velasco, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. The supporters of Fernao FC booed when Bata FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Ribeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlos Fernando Reis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emerson Arce's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. Perivaldo Velasco hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. 67 minutes into the game, Emerson Arce recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Carlos Fernando Reis. Emerson Arce showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. 70 minutes into the match, Bata FC's goal looked a bit too open when Emerson Arce came free, but Carlos Fernando Reis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 73 minutes into the match, Bata FC's goalkeeper Carlos Fernando Reis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Juarês da Mata. Dedê Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Glauco Maia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 86 minutes into the match, Bata FC's Perivaldo Velasco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Glauco Maia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 87th minute, Dedê Almeida made a precise shot to the right of Glauco Maia. Fernao FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Juarês da Mata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Bata FC's zone, Emerson Arce stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Fernando Reis came out of the goal and Emerson Arce tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Bata FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Fernao FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Fernao FC.
