Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Frédson Coelho started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Pinhais's Carlinhos Tavares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vivaldo Baiano in the 4th minute of play. In the 5th minute, Franklin Passos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luiz Paulo do Nascimento took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 6th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Carlinhos Tavares. Pinhais's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After having played for 7 minutes, Frédson Coelho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Coritiba Football Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frédson Coelho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 11th minute, Frédson Coelho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Carlinhos Tavares was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frédson Coelho got free with Carlinhos Tavares in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 22ndth minute of the game Simão Madureira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Coritiba Football Club's Rafinha Saldanha was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 25 minutes of play, Pinhais's Simão Madureira made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rafinha Saldanha was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Pinhais's Carlinhos Tavares got control of the ball when Frédson Coelho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Teodoro Paivas short, quick shot in the 38thth minute got Carlinhos Tavares to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Franklin Passos was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 44 minutes had been played. After 45 played minutes Pinhais got a freekick which was hit by Franklin Passos.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Adolfo Toscano to strike the kick off in the second half. Adolfo Toscano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rafinha Saldanha made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Adolfo Toscano sent off a good shot on target. Walmir Maia succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 60th playminute. Coritiba Football Club's Rafinha Saldanha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Coritiba Football Club from getting a goal against them. Adolfo Toscano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Adolfo Toscano came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Pinhais fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adolfo Toscano couldn't finish the play. Rafinha Saldanha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Simão Madureira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The nice shot from Adolfo Toscano in the 81stth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Rafinha Saldanha had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. In the 82nd minute, Walmir Maia fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Rafinha Saldanha, passed just outside the right post. Simão Madureira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pinhais's Adolfo Toscano got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Adolfo Toscano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pinhais's supporters rose to their feet, but Adolfo Toscano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rafinha Saldanha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
