When Jânio da Silva fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Adelia's protests and gave Jânio da Silva a yellow card for diving instead. In the 2nd match minute, Adelia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jânio da Silva to maneuver through the defense. William de Queirós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without César Ortiz having to interfere. César Ortiz had great luck who in the 8thth minute grab hold of the ball when Márcio Mangueira from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. A collision led to Entupido getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Rodrigo Quintal hit a great ball. The supporters of Adelia booed when Entupido was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodrigo Quintal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zé Paulo Sá took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 16th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for César Ortiz. Entupido's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 17th minute, William de Queirós ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. César Ortiz was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Rodrigo Quintal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Entupido's supporters rose to their feet, but Rodrigo Quintal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Ferreira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Adelia's Antônio de Andrade got a free kick in the 25th minute. The audience was convinced that Josué Marques's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Ferreira was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. If Márcio Mangueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Entupido's César Ortiz got control of the ball when William de Queirós tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 35th minute, Célio Ramalho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pedro Ferreira was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. César Ortiz was a little too slow when Márcio Mangueira got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 46th minute. The score was now 3-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

William de Queirós received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. César Ortiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonas Senna kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Chiquinho Pena during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. William de Queirós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without César Ortiz having to interfere. César Ortiz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from William de Queirós went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. Josué Marques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Ferreira having to interfere. The audience cheered loudly when Romário da Silveira's long shot in the 75th minute became 5-2 when the ball went to the left of and passed Pedro Ferreira. Pedro Ferreira went to the wrong direction when Romário da Silveira was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Adelia's zone, Josué Marques stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Ferreira came out of the goal and Josué Marques tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Entupido's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
