Jacinto Lopes started the match with the kick off. Robinho Nunes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from William de Queirós, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Lucas Falcão's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 30thth minute, Pedro Ferreira skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With a little luck, Adelia's Pedro Ferreira got control of the ball when Lucas Falcão tried to sneak it across the goal line. Adelia's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Jacinto Lopes 34 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Pedro Ferreira made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Lucas Falcão sent off a good shot on target. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Márcio Mangueira was the one to do the kick off. Sabino Tasso hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Márcio Mangueira in the 58th minute of play forced E.C. Paraguaçuense's goalkeeper Robinho Nunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 61 minutes into the match, Adelia's goal looked a bit too open when Jacinto Lopes came free, but Pedro Ferreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Jacinto Lopes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 64th minute Lucas Falcão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Ferreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 66 minutes into the match, Adelia's goal looked a bit too open when Lucas Falcão came free, but Pedro Ferreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 68 minutes into the match, Adelia's goal looked a bit too open when Lucas Falcão came free, but Pedro Ferreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Márcio Mangueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. William de Queirós could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Robinho Nunes made a huge save. When Márcio Mangueira came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Adelia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Márcio Mangueira couldn't finish the play. Adelia's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
