César Ramalho got a throw-in 14 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Eriberto Sena. 22 minutes into the game, Chiquinho Neto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cruzeiro GV's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Muriu SC the free kick. In the 22nd match minute, Cruzeiro GV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chiquinho Neto to maneuver through the defense. Léo Vides received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Donatello do Valle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Chiquinho Neto was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 78 minutes had been played. The supporters of Muriu SC booed when Cruzeiro GV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chiquinho Neto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Muriu SC's Valdemar Moreira got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Muriu SC fans' excitement grew in the 85th match minute when Muriu SC's Nelsinho Cearense looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Toninho Guedes kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. In the 94th minute João Carlos Pimenta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Augusto Saraiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 97 minutes into the match, Nelsinho Cearense notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Cruzeiro GV's Carlos Augusto Saraiva. Carlos Augusto Saraiva was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Chants of Muriu SC echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Cruzeiro GV had held the ball for most of the match.
