Tiago Gabriel Rocha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anísio Maranhense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edu Torres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 22 minutes, Juarês da Silveira made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Los Angeles Lakers's Joélson Maciel tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 26 minutes into the match, Edu Torres notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Coritiba FC's Anísio Maranhense. After having played for 47 minutes, Emerson de Castro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Coritiba FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emerson de Castro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edu Torres was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Los Angeles Lakers getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Adriano Zilles hit a great ball. The supporters of Coritiba FC booed when Los Angeles Lakers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiago Gabriel Rocha didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 67th minute, Aníbal da Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Coritiba FC's Anísio Maranhense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edu Torres in the 69th minute of play. In the 71st minute, Lucas Meira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Anísio Maranhense was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Hílton Viana got a throw-in 74 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Lucas Meira. After a rather tough play, Coritiba FC's Rômulo Fontes got a free kick in the 75th minute. When Juarês da Silveira came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Coritiba FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juarês da Silveira couldn't finish the play. Emerson de Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joélson Maciel having to interfere. Coritiba FC's Anísio Maranhense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiago Gabriel Rocha in the 90th minute of play. Remo Cerezo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Joélson Maciel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
