After some careless play in the A. G. C. defense, Gernando Ferraz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jardel Monteiro. The A. G. C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jardel Monteiro should have stopped the shot. A. G. C.'s Paulo Renato Sanches quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Cléberson Velloso, made in the 25th minute of the game. 25 minutes into the game, Paulo Renato Sanches was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. A. G. C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pirat the free kick. C.'s protests and gave Luisão do Valle a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Pirat booed when A. G. C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luisão do Valle didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to A. G. C. getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Alfredão de Andrade hit a great ball. After having played for 55 minutes, Cléberson Velloso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pirat's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cléberson Velloso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cleiton França fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zézinho do Nascimento having to interfere. Dinei Corrêa charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dinei Corrêa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dinei Corrêa kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. With a little luck, A. G. C.'s Jardel Monteiro got control of the ball when Gernando Ferraz tried to sneak it across the goal line. A. G. C.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 77th minute, when Adalberto Baiano scored to the left of an out of position Jardel Monteiro, making the score, 1-3. Gernando Ferraz received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jardel Monteiro came out and tried to block the shot, but Gernando Ferraz slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 81st minute. Didi Queiroz hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Didi Queiroz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zézinho do Nascimento having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Pirat left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than A. G. C..
