The ball had pretty good speed, but Raimundo Ramalho firmly grabbed it by the left post. The audience was convinced that Rogério Simões's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Raimundo Ramalho was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. The NEW CITY SPORT CLUB fans' excitement grew in the 27th match minute when NEW CITY SPORT CLUB's Durvalino Brodel looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 33rd minute, Durvalino Brodel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 34th minute, Dedê de Toledo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The NEW CITY SPORT CLUB fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. After some careless play in the Arara Do vale defense, Dedê de Toledo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of João Augusto de Sousa. The Arara Do vale fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that João Augusto de Sousa should have stopped the shot. In the 45th minute of the match Agostinho Azevedo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Raimundo Ramalho skillfully saved the ball. Afonsinho de Lara could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Raimundo Ramalho made a huge save.

In the 53rd minute Durvalino Brodel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Augusto de Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 55 minutes, the score became 2-4 when Durvalino Brodel sped through Arara Do vale's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of João Augusto de Sousa. Durvalino Brodel struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. João Augusto de Sousa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for NEW CITY SPORT CLUB. A collision led to Arara Do vale getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Edgar Vale hit a great ball. NEW CITY SPORT CLUB's Doriva Fernandes couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Arara Do vale. 68 minutes into the match, NEW CITY SPORT CLUB's Durvalino Brodel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that João Augusto de Sousa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. NEW CITY SPORT CLUB's Durvalino Brodel got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. João Augusto de Sousa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Durvalino Brodel's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. In the 77th minute, Adelino Paes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 82 minutes, Afonsinho de Lara mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Arara Do vale and the NEW CITY SPORT CLUB players grew even worse after the yellow card. Afonsinho de Lara kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. João Augusto de Sousa was a little too slow when Durvalino Brodel got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 84th minute. The score was now 2-5. Durvalino Brodel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. João Augusto de Sousa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Durvalino Brodel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. NEW CITY SPORT CLUB's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
