The audience was convinced that Ramiro Sabóia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cléberson Netto was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. Natã Tróia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Cléberson Netto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 13 played minutes Corixao got a freekick which was hit by Serginho Mesquita. Matheus Alvarenga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 16 minutes, Serginho Mesquita mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Corixao and the Umbuzeiro FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 16th match minute, Corixao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serginho Mesquita to maneuver through the defense. In the 18th minute Ramiro Sabóia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cléberson Netto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Corixao getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Laerte Trevisan hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Umbuzeiro FC's Sidney Brasil got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Fernão Recife might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Elano Carvalho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fernão Recife ran back to his position shaking his head. Natã Tróia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fernão Recife might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Elano Carvalho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fernão Recife ran back to his position shaking his head. Ramiro Sabóia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Fernão Recife made the kick off in the second half. Ramiro Sabóia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cléberson Netto having to interfere. Ramiro Sabóia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Cléberson Netto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Umbuzeiro FC's Cléberson Netto got control of the ball when Natã Tróia tried to sneak it across the goal line. Elano Carvalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernão Recife in the 58th minute of the match. After 65 played minutes Corixao got a freekick which was hit by Dalmo Medeiros. 68 minutes into the match, Umbuzeiro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Natã Tróia came free, but Cléberson Netto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cléberson Netto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Natã Tróia in the 71st minute of the match. 72 minutes into the game, Dráusio de Castro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Umbuzeiro FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Corixao the free kick. After having played for 73 minutes, Natã Tróia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Corixao's supporters crossed their fingers, but Natã Tróia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Corixao's Natã Tróia in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Umbuzeiro FC's goalie prevented a goal. When Natã Tróia came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Corixao fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Natã Tróia couldn't finish the play. Natã Tróia was extremely unlucky when he, in the 84th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 85th match minute, Umbuzeiro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dráusio de Castro to maneuver through the defense. Cléberson Netto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Natã Tróia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Natã Tróia came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Corixao fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Natã Tróia couldn't finish the play. Corixao's Ramiro Sabóia came free and shot a quick shot against goal 95 minutes in the game, fortunately Cléberson Netto had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Cléberson Netto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Natã Tróia, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute.
