Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Emílio Souza took the kick off in the first half of the match. Álvaro Castro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Washington Massa in the 4th minute. Álvaro Castro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kléber de Lara, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emílio Souza in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Walmyr Urbano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 12th minute, Sérgio Vieira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emílio Souza took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Walmyr Urbano. Walmyr Urbano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. FC. Pelarol's Álvaro Castro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save FC. Pelarol from getting a goal against them. Álvaro Castro came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Tiquarussu EC's Celsinho Nascimento. But to his dismay, Celsinho Nascimento quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After a rather tough play, FC. Pelarol's Vitório Mello got a free kick in the 24th minute. Álvaro Castro was a little too slow when Kléber de Lara got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 26th minute. The score was now 2-1. César Aguiar hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Vladimir Linhares fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 36th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball bounced in the crossbar and then went out. It was a very nice shot. A collision led to Tiquarussu EC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Ricardinho Carioca hit a great ball. Álvaro Castro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kléber de Lara in the 41st minute of the match. Emílio Souza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kléber de Lara stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Emílio Souza came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the FC. Pelarol fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emílio Souza couldn't finish the play. 59 minutes into the match, FC. Pelarol's goal looked a bit too open when Kléber de Lara came free, but Álvaro Castro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Natanael Paulista was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 61st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 64th minute, Alan da Cunha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. FC. Pelarol made a substitution. Vivaldo Seco replaced Emílio Souza. 78 minutes into the match, Vivaldo Seco notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Tiquarussu EC's Walmyr Urbano. Walmyr Urbano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Vivaldo Seco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Walmyr Urbano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Cristiano Furtado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alan da Cunha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walmyr Urbano having to interfere. In the 90th minute, Vivaldo Seco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 92 minutes into the game, Vivaldo Seco recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Walmyr Urbano. Vivaldo Seco showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-4. FC. Pelarol played a much better game than Tiquarussu EC and deserved their victory. The Tiquarussu EC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
