Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Nilson Maciel started the match with the kick off. Adhemar Vergílio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. João Adolfo Lira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Madresilva's Valdomiro Rosado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sílvio Luiz Veiga in the 13th minute of play. When Adhemar Vergílio came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Madresilva fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adhemar Vergílio couldn't finish the play. An unexpected shot in the 21st minute by Conrado Donatello got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Sílvio Luiz Veiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. João Adolfo Lira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nilson Maciel in the 26th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Madresilva's zone, Sílvio Luiz Veiga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valdomiro Rosado came out of the goal and Sílvio Luiz Veiga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. João Adolfo Lira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adhemar Vergílio in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th minute of the match Bernardinho Alcântara sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but João Adolfo Lira skillfully saved the ball. Conrado Donatello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Ibiratinga's goalkeeper João Adolfo Lira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Conrado Donatello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
Sílvio Luiz Veiga took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Valdomiro Rosado. Valdomiro Rosado dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. After a rather tough play, Ibiratinga's Acácio Romero got a free kick in the 56th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nilson Maciel in the 59th minute of play forced Ibiratinga's goalkeeper João Adolfo Lira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Noel Pinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Acácio Romero charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Acácio Romero the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Madresilva booed when Ibiratinga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Acácio Romero didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 69th match minute, Madresilva was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adalmo Cabral to maneuver through the defense. Sílvio Luiz Veiga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Valdomiro Rosado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. After 77 minutes Ibiratinga's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cipriano Torres who took care of the corner kick.
