An unexpectedly hard shot by Cássio Freitas in the 28th minute of play forced Dragões do Sul's goalkeeper Osvaldinho Moura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Dragões do Sul's Breno Sousa got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Osvaldinho Moura made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vladimir Leal in the 35th minute. Osvaldinho Moura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cássio Freitas in the 36th minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Dragões do Sul's goalkeeper Osvaldinho Moura had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vladimir Leal. In the 42ndth minute of the game Cássio Freitas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dragões do Sul's Osvaldinho Moura was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cássio Freitas made a kick off. 55 minutes into the game, Tamanoua's Vladimir Leal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Osvaldinho Moura made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Cássio Freitas struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Osvaldinho Moura didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tamanoua. When the match clock showed 63 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Hélio Rossi sped through Tamanoua's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Basílio Alagoano. Cássio Freitas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osvaldinho Moura having to interfere. If Vladimir Leal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Osvaldinho Moura showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vladimir Leal in the 88th minute of the match. Dragões do Sul's Osvaldinho Moura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cássio Freitas in the 90th minute of play.
