Armindo Pontes started the match with the kick off. After 11 played minutes Guapiacu got a freekick which was hit by Rui Costa. Bulhoes AD's Claudinho Proença shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 12th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Mário Faustino but with some difficulty. The supporters of Guapiacu booed when Bulhoes AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudinho Proença didn't get a good kick on the ball. Waldir Saraiva struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Cristian Perez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guapiacu. The audience was convinced that Waldir Saraiva's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cristian Perez was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Cristian Perez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armindo Pontes, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. 37 minutes into the match, Bulhoes AD's goal looked a bit too open when Rui Costa came free, but Cristian Perez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roger Zilles kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Waldir Saraiva blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cristian Perez having to make a save.

If Erasmo Brodel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 54th match minute, Guapiacu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Duarte to maneuver through the defense. Waldir Saraiva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Cristian Perez made a huge save. A collision led to Bulhoes AD getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Jonas Ribeiro hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Armindo Pontes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cristian Perez was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Bulhoes AD's goalkeeper Cristian Perez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Armindo Pontes in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristian Perez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matías de Queiroz in the 96th minute of play forced Guapiacu's goalkeeper Mário Faustino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Guapiacu eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
