Ciro Félix sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adelino Damião took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dudu Trigo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th minute, Quevedos's Luisão Pinho ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Edson Leal. Edson Leal yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Neropolis's Edson Leal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Neropolis from getting a goal against them. After 24 minutes, Rubens Moura mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Neropolis and the Quevedos players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 24th match minute, Neropolis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rubens Moura to maneuver through the defense. In the 25th minute, Ezequiel Castro made a precise shot to the right of Edson Leal. Neropolis's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Ezequiel Castro's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 32ndth minute, Edson Leal skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ezequiel Castro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Edson Leal made a huge save. Edson Leal came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Quevedos's Ezequiel Castro. But to his dismay, Ezequiel Castro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Ezequiel Castro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quevedos's supporters rose to their feet, but Ezequiel Castro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edson Leal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dudu Trigo was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Quevedos's Paulo José Proença got a free kick in the 52nd minute. A hard shot by Leandro Quintal from long distance, 53 minutes into the match, got Adelino Damião's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Edson Leal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luisão Pinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Neropolis's Edson Leal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luisão Pinho in the 59th minute of play. Ezequiel Castro struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Edson Leal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quevedos. In the 62nd match minute, Neropolis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rubens Moura to maneuver through the defense. 63 minutes into the match, Luisão Pinho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edson Leal. Neropolis's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luisão Pinho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Edson Leal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ezequiel Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 74th minute, Ezequiel Castro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luisão Pinho took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edson Leal. Edson Leal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Luisão Pinho succeeded in the game's 93rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 6-0. There was no doubt that Quevedos were the better team. Quevedos's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
